Laser welding uses an optical system to focus laser light, allowing for the melting of metal in a short time, which enables welding with minimal heat impact. When the laser light is absorbed by the metal, a hole called a keyhole is formed, and a pool of molten metal is created around it. However, as the laser output increases, the excessive heat raises the upward speed of the molten metal, leading to an increase in spatter.
